Dr. Sailaja Bondalapati, affectionately known to her patients as Dr. B, is a distinguished Comprehensive Ophthalmologist dedicated to enhancing visual health. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, followed by an internship in internal medicine at Duke University Hospitals. Her residency in Ophthalmology was completed at the University of North Carolina Hospitals, where she honed her skills in a broad spectrum of eye care services.
Dr. Bondalapati is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, with her expertise encompassing small incision and laser cataract surgery, specialty lens implants, ocular surface and dry eye management, glaucoma management, medical retina, and general ophthalmology. Her training included a Phacoemulsification and advanced Cataract fellowship at Agarwals Eye Research Center, Chennai, marking her as a specialist in cutting-edge cataract surgery techniques.
